Dalyan Caretta Run 5K, 14K and Half Marathon

Dalyan Caretta Run 5K, 14K & Half Marathon will be held on October 28, 2017 in lovely town of Dalyan - Muğla. The race will start from Dalyan town center, following a racecourse towards Iztuzu Beach, along beautiful pomegranate trees and the magnificient view of Lake Sulungur. After completing the first 14 kilometers, half marathon runners will continue towards Günlüklü, which is a popular recreation area. Both categories will finish the race in Dalyan town center. Race Pack Delivery

Race Packs will be distributed in the event area in Dalyan, on October 27-28th starting from 13:00 on Friday and 10:00 on Saturday. Packs will contain running shirt, chest number and RFID chip. All runners will receive a commemorative medal at finish line.

Awards Ceremony

Awards Ceremony will be held in Dalyan town center at 18:00 after the race. Awards will be delivered in general classification and age categories. For detailed information please visit our Awards page.

Transportation

Dalyan town center is located at 30 minutes distance to Dalaman airport. If you would like to use public transportation, you should first head to Ortaca bus station and take a bus to Dalyan from the bus station.

If you would like to use the highway, distances to some central locations are as below:

- Muğla - Dalyan : 78 kilometres, 1 hour drive.
- İstanbul - Dalyan : 825 kilometres, 12 hours drive.
- İzmir - Dalyan: 295 kilometres, 4 hours drive.
- Ankara - Dalyan: 673 kilometres, 8 hours drive.

Social Responsibility

Every registration to Dalyan Caretta Run will touch the lives of Caretta Carettas nesting in İztuzu. Part of the revenues of Dalyan Caretta Run will be transferred to Dekamer (Sea Turtles Research, Rescue and Rehabilitation Center located in İztuzu), to protect babies and rehabilitate wounded Caretta Carettas.
